The British Trail Running Championships, promoted by the Trail Running Association and British Athletics, are held annually over three distances: short (races up to 45km), middle (between 45km and 90km), and ultra (races over 90km).
The Ridgeway Challenge has been selected as the ultra-distance event, alongside the Forest of Dean Spring Half Marathon (short distance) and the 14 Peaks Ultra (middle distance).
The Ridgeway Challenge spans the entire length of The Ridgeway National Trail, a distance of 86 miles from Ivinghoe Beacon in Hertfordshire to Avebury in Wiltshire.
The 2025 edition will be the 20th running of this historic event, and the first under the organisation of Runaway Racing.
First, second, and third place in both the women's and men's events will be awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze British Athletics Medals.
Age group prizes are awarded in five-year categories from V35 all the way up to V80+.
